Published prices do not always cover the same service. Party.ma currently shows roughly 1,200–6,000 MAD per evening in Casablanca and Rabat, including about 2,000–3,500 MAD for a standard wedding and 3,500–6,000 MAD for a premium wedding. Wervice publishes a broader “music / DJ / band” category from 3,000–60,000 MAD depending on tier. Those figures should not be treated as directly equivalent.

Best question: do not ask only “How much is the DJ?” Ask what is included? Sound system, lighting, microphones, setup, performance hours, hosting, travel and overtime can all change the final price.

DJ-only or sound-and-light package?

Listings do not always describe the same service. Party.ma publishes local DJ-evening references, while other market guides separate a DJ-only service from a package that includes sound and lighting. Evento.ma, for example, publishes different Marrakech ranges for solo DJ service and sound-and-light packages. Confirm whether speakers, microphones, lighting, setup and teardown are included.

Music brief and technical check

Prepare a short must-play list, a do-not-play list and the key moments in the timeline: entrance, dinner, cake, first dance and closing. For outdoor venues or larger halls, also ask how acoustics, power supply and sound coverage will be checked before guests arrive.

Moroccan weddings: plan the transitions

A Moroccan wedding can move between entrances, dinner, family moments, traditional music, dance and international styles. Discuss the timeline before the event so the DJ knows when music should support an entrance, when volume should drop and how to move smoothly between different generations and tastes.
